Uplift Your Spirit: 
An Inspiring Integration of Mother Nature, Mindfulness and Movement

UPCOMING CO-ED HALF-DAY WORKSHOP: Saturday, May 19, 2012

Your spirit is the essence of who you are!   Rejuvenate and renew your joy in life as we explore what uplifts us.  Reconnect with your inner light and find the rhythms that move you as you soothe your soul in nature.  


During “Uplift Your Spirit: An Inspiring Integration of Mother Nature, Mindfulness and Movement”, participants will be guided through a harmonious synthesis of mindfulness meditation, a discussion on relaxation through aromatherapy and essential oils, movement of yoga, and Holistic Hiking in pristine nature with grounding exercises and poetry.   Participants will learn tools to bring inner stillness into their everyday lives.


Suitable for most people, regardless of age or physical fitness level, these movement and relaxation and nature-based practices stimulate and activate the body’s energy channels, clear energy blockages, and increase overall well-being and vitality. Through instruction, meditation, experimentation and movement, we access and learn to sustain the formless state of consciousness that is presence.


When: Saturday, May 19, 2012. 1-5:30pm
Where: Jikoji Zen Temple and Retreat Center, 12100 Skyline Blvd, Los Gatos, CA 95030

Suggested Minimum Fee: $40 
A percentage of your registration fee will be gifted as a donation to Jikoji Zen Center (Donations are tax deductible) 


Jikoji Zen Center invites you to spend the night and to attend Jikoji Sunday Program.

Agenda:
  • 1:00 – 1:10pm  Welcome and Introductions
  • 1:10 – 1:40pm  Mindfulness Meditation and one-on-one discussions 
  • Break
  • 1:50 – 2:20pm  Native Plants, Natural Essential Oils and Aromatherapy for Relaxation 
  • Break and setting up for Yoga
  • 2:30 – 3:30pm  Yoga and Reiki
  • Break and preparing for hike
  • 3:40 – 5:15pm  Holistic Hiking Nature Walk with Grounding Exercises and Poetry
  • 5:15 – 5:30pm  Closing Circle
Additional Notes:
  • No prior experience with meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, hiking or spiritual practices is required.
  • Hiking is medium level of difficulty (walking meditation and mindful movement can be substituted for those who prefer not to hike)
  • Please wear comfortable clothing.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle, food and/or snacks as needed and a yoga mat.  
  • You may also want to bring sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • Cell phones generally do not get reception here
  • The sign for Jikoji may be hard to see, look for balloons at the entrance of the driveway
