Scholarship Information

Our desire is  to help people from all walks of life reconnect with their inner light and find their soul's purpose through our many offerings of retreats and wellness services.   We offer partial and full scholarships.

Dragonfly Healing Center is committed to making its services accessible to anyone seeking to enhance their life and realize their human potential, regardless of background or financial status.    Scholarships are made possible by the generous support of Dragonfly's patrons and donors. To contribute to Dragonfly's  fund, visit our make a gift page.

Scholarships for most programs are available to people who demonstrate financial need. Meeting the eligibility guidelines for a scholarship is not a guarantee that you will receive one. Scholarship recipients are primarily housed in dormitory accommodations.

In order to apply for the scholarship for Moving Into the Light Retreat, please submit a one to two page essay in a word document or pdf by October 5, 2012 to lucy@dragonflycenter.org:

  • Option 1:  Please describe your life story and what were the major turning points and milestones?  What brings you to the point today where you are seeking growth and healing.  What are you hoping to receive from this retreat?
  • Option 2:  If you have a memorable experience of encountering a dragonfly, please share your story.  Where were you at the moment and what was happening?  How did the dragonfly and this experience affect you?  Knowing the symbolism and significance of the dragonfly and noting the theme of moving from darkness into the light, please include your thoughts on transformation in relation to your own life.
  • Option 3:  Some say that the act of being born is a traumatic experience - thrust into the world from the warmth and security of the womb.  Therefore, many of us come into this life wounded in a way.  How do you view healing as a universal need?  How may healing be needed through all of life's challenges?  How do you view healing as a spiritual need in your own life in addition to being a physical and mental need in various life situations?
