My massage training has led me on a path of discovery. My path started with a curiosity about how massage relaxes people, both physically and mentally. I thought my training at the McKinnon Body Therapy Center would begin and end with a fundamentals class learning the basic techniques of Swedish massage. During that first class, I became intrigued and eager to learn more. So, I continued taking classes. I am now a California State certified massage therapist and working on my national certification.
During my massage training, my son was a high school wrestler. One of his teammates was a top 10 California State ranked wrestler who trained with the Stanford Cardinal Wrestling Club. That connection led me to work with the Stanford wrestling team and a year later with the Stanford football team. I continue to work with both teams. I have worked a number of volunteer events such as the Avon Walk, the Diabetes Walk and Ride for a Cure, the AIDS/Lifecycle and more.
I am trained in Swedish, Clinical Deep Tissue, Sport and chair massage. I integrate the unique aspects of each modality as needed into my sessions. I am looking forward to learning other modalities to expand my knowledge of bodywork and integrate even more techniques into my sessions to provide my clients a therapeutic session that meets their unique needs.
I enjoy helping people perform better by providing them a massage that meets their needs to feel relaxed, invigorated and balanced.
