Originally from Colombia, Adriana completed her studies as an Industrial Engineer. Now she is an Ananda Certified Yoga Instructor. Since childhood, she manifested an interest in self-study and personal growth that led her to discover that what leads to happiness is simply staying true to your higher self. A few years later, she moved to the United States where she performed successfully as a Marketing Specialist.
Adriana has always remained spiritually inclined to alternative and self-healing holistic techniques such as energy healing, positive thinking, use of affirmations, meditation, yoga and nutrition. After practicing yoga for 5 years, she was introduced to Ananda Yoga which brought her such a high level of spiritual awareness, healing and joy that she decided to become a certified yoga teacher. By putting into practice a combination
of various techniques, she became aware that yoga and meditation was a path not
only to physical healing, but also a path to self realization.
Adriana is also a meditation teacher, Reiki practitioner and is currently practicing yoga therapeutically. She offers her yoga teachings to those who would like to experience a gentle and spiritually uplifting yoga practice with the use of affirmations, energization and an inward approach as encompassed by Ananda Yoga. At this time she is fully devoting her energy and time to her passion of teaching of yoga as a way of inspiring
women to look within themselves and make the necessary life changes needed to
reach their full potential and find their true life calling.
She finds Ananda Yoga a source of energy, joy, and a deepened sense of meditation. As she would describe it : “The holistic approach of Ananda Yoga always leaves me uplifted, relaxed yet energized to keep me going on my daily activities. It helps me stay centered as it has a meditative approach while my body gets great doses of vitality and my soul the joy and enthusiasm to carry me throughout my day. I love to share this ancient practice. It is a like a spiritual treat to your soul.”
Adriana teaches classes both in English and Spanish at Ananda Yoga Center in Palo Alto as well as the Twin Pines Senior Center in Belmont, CA. She also offers private yoga therapy sessions in the Peninsula and Bay Area.
